Last week my nieces and I created a fall leaf wreath (and we had lots of fun trying to say “fall leaf wreath” fast 3 times in a row). This was a simple and fun project and did I mention, FREE! 
I cut a cardboard wreath form out of an old box by tracing a large and small mixing bowl for the guide. And we raked and gathered a pile of leaves and brought some inside.
Then we just picked out the prettier/not broken ones and glued them to the cardboard wreath form. I used my low temp glue gun (which still puts out hot glue just not quite as hot) and the girls were careful to not get their fingers in it. I thought about using Elmer’s glue or a glue stick but I wasn’t sure how those would work and I knew they would take a lot longer to dry.
My nieces are 3 and 5 and they LOVE doing crafts and checking out all my seasonal décor. We created this wreath for them to take home to enjoy.
Here’s the wreath all finished! It took about 10-15 minutes to glue it all with their help

I glued a orange ribbon to the back and hung it on the back of my door to shoot pictures to share with you.
Such a simple, easy project. But pretty too! I thought about gluing some acorns to it but the girls wanted it to just have “leafs”, so we left it.
They took it home and hung it on their fireplace screen in front of their fireplace. And they are already asking when we are going to make another wreath.
So send the kids out to collect some leaves, cut up a cereal box or a cardboard box to use for the wreath form, and get to gluing. Create some fun fall décor and some memories too.
